Day-cation

We were trying to decide what to do and where to go for a family vacation this summer.  Mara isn't a big fan of being in the car for more than about 30 minutes, and staying in a hotel with an infant didn't sound real appealing.  So, we decided to take a day-cation to the Omaha Children's Museum.  We had never been there before and a friend recommended it.  On our way, we of course stopped for breakfast at McDonald's which is my family's tradition.  Maybe that's why Mara was looking around the McDonald's parking lot for Papa Alan when we got there.  Too funny.

We ended our trip with a stop at Cabela's to use up some of our never ending gift cards that Lance earns through work. 

And for the ride home...

and a nap!

We already decided we should go again next year, and maybe by then we will be ready to spend the night in a hotel and go to the zoo the following day!
