Maisy - 3 months

My baby is 3 months.  Unbelievable.

She has definitely been chatting it up the last month!  Lance can make her coo and cry all within the same 10 seconds.  He makes this "scary" face, she cries, and then he quickly responds with, "No, it's not scary!"  So every time she cries now, the kids respond with, "Maisy, it's not scary!"
She is determined to get her hands to work.  She has had some success, but it's pretty much been luck.  Mara was so excited the day she found her holding onto one of her toys in her bouncy seat!
She loves her baths and fingers.  We're hoping we don't have another finger sucker.
If we put her on her tummy on the Boppy, she will use her legs to push her right over the top.  There have been a couple times I've left the room for a few seconds and come back to her completely over the pillow onto her face.
She is still getting an abundant amount of love from her big sis and brother.
She will watch them play for quite a long time,

Baby girl, we love you to pieces!  But if you could, don't turn 4 months old any time soon.

Let it Snow!

Boy oh boy, were these kids excited that it snowed!  Good thing I have a husband who doesn't mind bundling up!
We're definitely going to have to find some good sledding hills this winter.  Mara has definitely become much braver than last year.  She was begging Lance to pull her faster and faster on the sled.  She got tossed off twice and only cried once.  But I would've, too.  Her face and covered in snow.  She decided to come in for a warm drink after that.
They got hot chocolate twice in one day!  I made a healthy, Paleo hot chocolate, so I didn't mind at all letting them have it twice.  Thankful their little palates haven't completely matured and only prefer to eat and drink the things I do!
We were out and about last weekend as the snow was coming down.  It was dark, but the parking lot lights gave a glimpse of the flakes.   A black sky with white pouring down.  A white blanket of snow this time of year is always a refreshing reminder of Isaiah 1:18.

No matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool!

Thunderstruck Challenge

Ever done the Thunderstruck Challenge?
Crank up Thunderstruck by AC DC and hold in plank position.
Do a push up every time you hear "THUNDER!"
 Some added challenge.

And this one just looks on from a safe distance.  I can only imagine what she's thinking in that little noggin'!

Fall Weekend

This may have been our last fall weekend to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Maisy enjoyed her view from the stroller without the confinement of her car seat.  She watched her brother and sister play in the leaves for quite awhile!
Rakes and big sticks are sometimes hard to maneuver.  They only whacked each other a couple of times.

Big Rig

I didn't get any pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes at Grandpa A and Grandma J's house.  I was too busy running Micah around to help with harvest.  He got to spend an hour with Grandpa in the tractor.  He also got to ride in the semi.  This was a pretty big deal for him of course.

You can barely see him in there.
I think he could have spent the entire day riding around.

Halloween Festivities

We made it to as many places as we could dressed in costume.  We headed to Great Grandma Katherine's first because she hadn't gotten to meet Maisy yet.  She took us on a walk in her apartment building up to meet "the man."  He was an interesting character outside another apartment door.  He was a bit spooky - but fake.  The kids didn't mind him at all because he held a plate of candy!

Grandpa G and Grandma D brought Halloween treats over to our house.
Great Grandma Pat made the kids a special honey popcorn snack while we were visiting her.  Of course they don't think we can eat plain popcorn at our house now!
They got tattoos at the library Halloween party.
This was the first year both of the kids dug right into cleaning out the pumpkin!

 Our church sponsored a Trunk-or-Treat.
It was pretty chilly out, so we went door to door down our street for a few blocks.  Mara would have stayed out all night if we would have let her.  We talked her into going back home early enough to turn our light on and hand out candy.

Happy Halloween!
