Three Day Weekend

Lance has been pretty busy this spring at work and with landscaping jobs, so we took full advantage of him this weekend.

 We packed a sack supper and headed to the park.

 A fight broke out on the basketball court, so the cops had to make a visit.  We were the only eye witnesses at the park, so we had to have a little chat with the policeman. 

We thought we were going to have to call the cops back, so they could free him from the slide with the jaws of life.

We haven't made cookies in at least a month.  They don't help with losing the baby weight!  Mara has been asking for cookies for about a week, so I decided she shouldn't suffer any longer.

Mara decided to share her hat with the giraffe.  Bummer.  It was a cute hat.

A very hungry goat wanted her finger instead of the food.  She only cried for a little bit.

This is my favorite picture of the day.  Maybe my favorite of these two of all the ones I have.  I love, love, love that they're so close in age - 4 months apart.  They play really well together, and I enjoy watching them bond.  I look forward to watching them grow together through the years.  I hope that they will stay close and always be there for each other.

Ahhh...aren't long weekends great?
