We had both of our families over to our house last weekend for Mara's second birthday party. Mara loves to eat just about anything, so I decided on the theme The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Both of our dads were a little confused with the decorations and such because they had never read the book by Eric Carle, but they both took a couple minutes to do a little reading.

Mara has been very excited about her caterpillar cake which was made by Grandma Darcy.
Aunt Karrie and cousin Hannah also made some really cool looking cookies! If you've never had one of the famous sugar cookies, they taste as good as they look!
We served food items from the book.
Mara almost burned her lips while blowing out her candles! She leaned in a little too close but somehow I pulled her back before there was any damage.
