Empty Nesters

My parents are no longer empty nesters!

Meet mama llama, Lucy.
Papa Llama.
And baby llama, Kisses.

We were greeted by these three llamas when we arrived for Easter!  Why llamas?  Not sure.  Probably because my mom has always been interested in them.
Thanks to my mom, our kids have several books from the Llama Llama books series. Mara's favorite is Llama Llama Misses Momma and Micah likes Llama Llama Nighty-Night.
The llamas need some TLC - shearing and hoof trimming for sure. Do my parents know how to do this? No. Do they know a lot about llamas? No. We asked my parents lots of questions about the llamas that they couldn't answer. They didn't buy the llamas because they're experts.  They're just animal lovers who are ready for a new journey!
I hope to own a herd of llamas when I'm an empty nester, too. Just kidding, Lance!
I love that my parents aren't struggling with their new season in life.  More Llama Llama stories and adventures to come!

  1. I didn't like empty nest to begin with. But since the grandchild have taken over the emptiness I was feeling, I'm (we're) doing great! Why get Llams they ask......Well for entertainment. These Gkids need something to do when they come don't they???
