Match

Mara is really into matching things. She likes to point out when her shirt color matches my sock color. One day she brought me the books If You Give a Pig a Party and If You Give a Pig a Pancake explaining that they matched because they had the same pig character. Sometimes she'll tell me something like her pink coat matches someone else's blue coat. When I point out that they're different colors, she informs me that they both have zippers so they match. One day we were in Target and I hear her say, "Mom, look! We match! Pink coat! Buttons!" She was jumping up and down waving her arm pointing at a girl at least 5 years older than her wearing a similar pink coat. The older girl wasn't amused at all by this, but her parents made a big deal about how neat that was which totally made Mara's day.
After Mara got dressed in this pink jacket one day, she demanded Micah also wear a jacket with a hood so they could match.  This matching fetish was fine until the day Micah started grunting.  He was just being silly making sounds, but Mara thought he was grunting for a specific reason.  She said, "Micah pooping.  I match Micah.  Poop in pants, too!"  AHHH!  Luckily, her grunt was the only thing that came out.

This was also a "match" picture.  Mara stuck her tongue out and told Micah to match her.  Oh how I love these two.
