These two were pretty pumped when I told them we got to go camping with Grandpa and Grandma for a night! They just got a different camper, and the bunk beds were a big hit! This was the first thing they did when we got to the campground. So much for heading to the beach or roasting marshmallows. They grabbed their sleeping gear and headed to play in the bunks!
However, when it came to bedtime, they were snuggled into my bed, so I had to sleep in the bunks. Micah ended up sleeping with Grandpa, and Grandma cozied in with Mara. Me sleeping in the bunks lasted until 1AM when my hips couldn't take the thin mattress anymore, and we all had to play musical beds. Next time we'll have to figure out how to move the tv by the bunk beds for the kids!
Grandma bought some new camping toys. We played on the playground, went for a walk, played in the water (a bit chilly to swim yet), and saw a couple snakes.
And we of course ate camping food! Grandma made the kids their first kabobs, and she even brought special s'more materials for a certain little girl who was very appreciative! Thanks for letting us tag along Grandpa and Grandma!
