Thankful in September

I miss my Thankful Thursday posts!  But, instead of posting them every Thursday, I am going to keep track of them and post them at the end of the month.  I can't believe September is already gone!  Lance just said yesterday he'll have the Christmas lights up in less than 2 months!

* dinner date with cousins - The dads were out of town, so my sister-in-law invited us over for the evening.  So nice to live so close!
* my friends and family who have so generously been helping out with Micah during Mara's physical therapy appointments
* cooler weather
* camping
* story time at the library - it's been nice to get back into a routine!
* new library books
* contagious giggles
* answered prayers
* Monday mornings...seriously!  I used to hate them, but I love the flexibility to snuggle in bed with my kiddos and not have to take a show until noon if I don't feel like it.
* Awana - what an amazing opportunity!
* Sunday School - love the innocence of the little ones
* Mara's dedication to physical therapy appointments and home stretches
* camp fires and s'mores
* sleeping in - our kids both slept until 8:00 one morning....that's the first time that's happened ever!
* my sister-in-law who thought it would be a good idea for us to work out together in the early morning - I needed a little push to get back into working out more than once a week!
* candy corn and warm apple cider
* no storm damage to our house
* my healthy new nephew, Kyler
* The Bible and how God speaks to me through it.

.....Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.
Haggai 1:9

How often I busy myself in my own little world.  How often the enemy tells me I don't have time to help others because my floors need swept, the pile of laundry needs washed and I've got two little people dependent upon me every minute of the day.  God is stirring in my heart today.  What is he stirring you to do?  Reach out to someone who is hurting?  Share your faith with a family member who hasn't put her trust in Christ?  Give?

God, please help me to recognize Your stirring in my heart and help me to be open to doing whatever You are passionate about.  Please use me.  Amen.
