Mara woke up limping one morning last week, and her knee was swollen. I took her to the pediatrician, and she sent us on to pediatric orthopaedics. They took an x-ray, aspirated her knee, and did some blood work. Nothing showed up in any of the tests. She was on ibuprofen for a couple of days, but her knee flared up again. We met with the orthopaedic doctor again, and he has referred us to a pediatric rheumatologist. They will probably explore the possibility of arthritis and maybe other things. We are hoping to have that appointment in the next 1-2 weeks. She does limp frequently but isn't in much pain. She has even been running and jumping.
Cousin H and Cousin A sent her balloons. This made her day!
I am praying for a miracle - praying that the swelling is the result of a virus or something and just goes away for good. Thanks to those of you who have been praying for her. We really appreciate your prayer support.
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
