1. no bed bugs - I am writing this early this morning and just woke up a little while ago from a dream about having bed bugs. It was one of those dreams that was very realistic, so when I woke up I started rubbing my arms to make sure they weren't crawling on me before I realized it was just a dream. Yuck!
2. Dum-Dum suckers - They help make shopping trips a little more manageable with a two-year-old.
3. a new pediatrician - thanks to a recommendation from friends
4. a healthy 9 month well baby visit
5. my mom's cooking - It's a nice break to have someone else cook for us. Thanks Mom!
6. our home group and the marriage study we're doing - I'm learning how to view situations through "blue" glasses in our marriage rather than the "pink" ones I naturally wear.
7. rocking my baby to sleep at night - he hasn't let me do that in awhile and I know those days are numbered
8. Boppy pillow - I was thinking the other day about how handy it is for nursing. There are so many helpful tools for breastfeeding these days that I know my mom didn't have. Nursing covers, nipple shields (thankful I didn't need one with Micah!), huge selection of nursing bras, lanolin, Soothies, ice packs that fit in your bra (also thankful I'm past the stage of needing those!), easy to use electric pumps, milk storage bags.
9. no crying from Mara in the church nursery last Sunday - That's a first in a long time. She used to love going in there, but lately she screams for 30 seconds when we drop her off. She ends up having a great time and doesn't want to leave when church is over. Silly girl.
10. baby gate - We didn't use one when Mara was crawling, but I have been telling Micah "No no" way too much when he's just trying to explore his environment. I realized when we had just Mara I had more time to just remove her from the office when she was getting into things or the entryway when she was chewing on shoes. I just don't have as much time to do that with two little ones now.
